(Tips) Disable Blackberry event log to free up memory

Do you know that your Blackberry smartphone actually keep
track every activity into event log? Event log is located into a
secret place and you need special key press to access it. Due
to event log keep track everything in your Blackberry from
time to time, therefore it will gradually eat up more system
memory.
Usually we don't need the event log information, I would
suggest you disable event log to free up memory. Following is
the secret to disable Blackberry event log.
At Blackberry home screen press ALT + LGLG If you
successful, you will access to event log windows

Your BlackBerry has an on-board
memory cleaner, and it's probably worth
running every once in a while. I'm not
sure how much it really does — the
process took something like two
seconds. But it's already on your device,
so you might as well run it once a month
or so, just to let it run its course.
To do this, go to Options, Security Options, General Settings.
There you'll see Content Protection. Change it from Disabled
to Enabled. A prompt will notify you that you'll need to set a
password. Even if you don't want to, you can change this all
back afterward. Hit the Escape key to back out, and you'll get
the prompt for your password, and then verification.
After you choose your password, back all the way out and
come back into Security Options again. There you'll see an
option for Memory Cleaning. Click into that, and change the
Show Icon on Home Screen option to Yes. You'll recognize it
easily: a paper going through a shredder. Run it, and that's it.
To reverse the process, go back into Security Options,
General Settings, and disable Content Protection. Make sure
to disable your password as well if you don't want one.

Why does my BlackBerry battery draining fast & gets really hot!

Has anyone gone through the process of finding out what's
getting so hot when your BlackBerry is in the 'battery only
lasts 6 hours or less' mode?
RIM's Announcement:
Some of the BlackBerry suffers rapid battery drain and overall
sluggishness due to the phone application utilizing high
amount of CPU.
But:
what other matters can be the same cause.
Weak Signal network or no network
1. Yes, Weak network singal or no network at the same
time could cause the BlackBerry SmartPhone to conitue
look for signals and may cause to battery to drain much
faster and you could notice your phone gets hot quickly.
The solution is to change the network settings on a 2G
(GPRS) only if you are located in areas that do not have
good network converage. But remember whenever you
switch to 2G (GPRS) you might experience delay on BBM
Messaging or browsing.
Application running in background
The Best solution is to make sure you completely close out
of apps, and disable auto updates on apps that do so. To
check is holding the BlackBerry Logo on the menu button
on the keypad and you can see apps that is running and
make sure your press ESC or select close or exit command

Group to declare state of Biafra Nov 5 2012

A pro-Biafra group, Biafra Zionist Movement, BZM, announced, yesterday, that it had commenced the process to launch the struggle for a State of Biafra with the international community, saying that the formal declaration of the new Biafra Republic had been slated for November 5.

This came as Conference of Igbo Youth Organizations, CIYO, warned that Ndigbo “would no longer watch in silence while our brothers and sisters are slaughtered like animals” in the Northern States.
National President of BZM, Benjamin Onwuka, at a briefing said what prevented the realization of Biafra republic over the years was the inability to get the support of world powers, like the United States of America to back the project.

“As we approach the end of 13 years since the mobilization and struggle for Biafran Independence began under the aegis of MASSOB and other groups,  the people of Biafra have not made much effort in realizing our dreams because the struggle has been internalized since 1999,” Onwuka said.

He expressed regrets that the international community did not know the aspirations of the Biafra people, saying “Biafra must therefore be internationalized because the forces preventing the dreams for our independence are vested in the United Kingdom.

Biafra can only be achieved when we secure the support of the United States of America; the day USA comes to our side, that day we shall be free from Nigeria; the story of South Sudan where a bloody civil war was fought for over 24 years is a typical example.”

Meanwhile, the Igbo youths in a statement endorsed by 10 youth leaders, including the National Coordinator, Igbo Youth Grand Alliance, Dr. Uchenna Uchehara, who read it after their emergency meeting in Owerri yesterday said: “Events of the past few months in Nigeria have become very disturbing to stakeholders, especially the Igbo nation that played a major role in the founding of Nigeria and inspite of the tragedies of the Biafran war, resolved to give total support to one united Nigeria”.

Blackberry smartphone devices are known for fast email
performance, including a broad range of features that
make them viable mobile replacements for laptops and
netbooks. Even though Blackberry devices have
embedded operating systems, they require certain
maintenance, such as an occasional reboot, actions
that are common with computers. Fix a “frozen” or
slow BlackBerry device with a simple power cycle, or
soft or hard reset, to clear device memory.
1. The BlackBerry screen is frozen.
This problem happens on pretty much any
computer-related device. Something happens and
you suddenly can’t scroll up or down, or click on
anything. It’s annoying, but there are actually two
ways to fix it. You can perform a soft reset, which is
done by pressing the ALT + CAP + DELETE keys on
your handheld at the same time. If this doesn’t
work, perform a hard reset. This is done by finding
the RESET button at the back of the handheld.
Sometimes, this button might be near the bottom,
under the battery cover. Press the RESET button
using a pin or paper clip. With either method, you
shouldn’t lose any data.

messages.
This problem could be due to the lack of GPRS
service. GPRS stands for General Packet Radio

signal strength. The antenna should show GPRS. If
you can still make phone calls and access the Web,
then your GSM service is still available. Try sending

could be delayed due to a billing problem or to
downtime on the network
